Dr Toomer took the decision to install a solar PV system with EWS Solar Power to assist in his efforts to become more carbon neutral, having already installed a bio mass boiler and a solar thermal hot water system. Dr Toomer was largely motivated by his desire to reduce his impact on the environment however the financial incentives on offer, via the feed in tariff for solar PV, also helped to make a compelling case for this form of renewable energy.
